From September 1991 to November 1995, the O'Brien-Angell stentiess porcine xenograft (Bravo Cardiovascular Model 300) was used for aortic valve replacement in 30 patients. Patient population is represented by 24 patients with isolated aortic valve disease (80%) and 6 patients with associated cardiac lessions (20%).

Intermediate Care Unit. Treatment of ischemic cardiopathy from a hospital emergency service
The object of this descriptive work is to show our experience in the treatment of patients with decompensated ischemic cardiopathy in an Intermediate Care Unit (LU.) structurally linked to an Intensive Care Unit (L C. U.) and whose hospitalization of patients is produced from the Emergency Service (E.S.) of the hospital question.

Syncope due to atenolol
The relationship between cases of syncopes caused by drug consumption and especially beta blockers is known.We present a case of cardiac syncope due to atenolol in a hypertensive patient. We refer to the continuous electrocardiographic monitorization (Holter) as a non-invasive diagnostic method and to the repeat recordings over 48 hours when there is much suspicion on the arr-vthmogenic origin of the syncope.
